ABOUT THE HYMN:
Here Charles Wesley tells the Christmas story while drawing on a broad and beautiful range of Christ’s titles and roles. He wants us to grasp exactly who is lying in that manger. This baby has come to reconcile us to God. He is the Godhead in bodily form. He is Emmanuel, God with Us, the Prince of Peace, the Sun of Righteousness. All the fullness of God has come to bless us in Jesus Christ.
