This hymn is an updated rewrite of the old hymn, “Brethren, We Have Met to Worship”. It emphasizes the way we should approach public worship: expecting God to speak His Word; depending on His Spirit; serving as His Body to those around us; loving God and each other; and anticipating our gathering together at the marriage supper of the Lamb.
