America the Beautiful

ABOUT THE HYMN:
The hymn-writer raises a God-centered vision for America. It is an America that loves one another, that is self-controlled and law-biding, an America that lifts our eyes toward a city “whose architect and builder is God” (Hebrews 11:10, NASB). That is the America for which we long and pray.
